Denny Chimes to Sound in Honor of Alabama Student-Athlete Bernardo Romero -- September 30, 2004

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., September 30. IN memory of the late University of Alabama student Bernie Romero, Denny Chimes will sound today from 4 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, September 30.

Romero was a member of the swimming and diving team and cross country team. He passed away Wednesday, September 15 from complications arising from leukemia. He was 21.

There is a memorial service for Romero at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Wednesday (Sept. 29) at 7 p.m.
