NCAA Women's Water Polo: Stanford To Host Defending National Champion UCLA -- February 6, 1999

Stanford opens the 1999 season this Saturday at deGuerre Pool against UCLA at 10:30 a.m. The Bruins have won three consecutive national collegiate championships and are among the favorites again this year. Stanford finished third at Collegiate Nationals last year and is also among the top contenders for the crown in 1999. After today's season opener, which is also a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game, the Cardinal will compete at the UC San Diego Invitational, next weekend in San Diego.
