The Woodlands to Host Speedo FINA Diving Grand Prix This Week

THE WOODLANDS, Tex, May 3. THIS week, The Woodlands Athletic Club in The Woodlands, Texas, will play host to the 35th annual Speedo/FINA Diving Grand Prix. This event is the sole U.S. stop on the 10-country FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation) world tour. It is also the last major event for the USA’s top divers to impress the judges before the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials taking place in St. Louis from June 7-13.

WHAT: Speedo/FINA Diving Grand Prix
Competition will be conducted in all the Olympic events for both men and women: 3-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, synchronized 3-meter springboard and synchronized 10-meter platform.

WHEN: Thursday, May 6– Sunday, May 9, 2004

WHERE: The Woodlands Athletic Club, The Woodlands, TX
The Woodlands Athletic Club is located at 11111 Winterberry Place in The Woodlands.

WHO: The World’s Best Divers
The world’s best divers from at least 12 countries will participate. Confirmed countries include Australia, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Venezuela, and the USA.
