Olympic Champion Josh Davis to Host Free Swim Clinic to Kick Off the Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Swim Competition  -- April 28, 2004

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, April 28. OLYMPIC gold medalist Josh Davis will conduct a free swimming clinic for more than 300 swimmers ages 5 and up from San Antonio, Laredo, the Rio Grande Valley, Austin, Uvalde and Mexico. The clinic will be held this Friday at the San Antonio Natatorium and kicks off the Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Competition Swim Meet being held Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd.

The San Antonio Nadadores Swim Team and Alamo Area Aquatic Association are hosting the competition. This event is the signature event for USA Swimming for Outreach. This competition is designed to promote swimming among Hispanics and enhance awareness of the many benefits of competitive swimming.

Davis has competed in the last two Olympic Games and has wonthree gold and two silver medals.

Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Swim Meet:
Saturday, May 1st- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Sunday, May 2nd – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
