Men's NCAAs, Day 3: Garcia Wins as Auburn Goes 1-2-6 in the 10-m Diving -- March 27, 2004

EAST MEADOW, New York, March 27. FROM the perspective of every other college swimming and diving team, it's bad enough that Auburn is so dominant in the swimming events.

Now they've got something else to worry about: the Tigers are staking a claim as the nation's best diving team as well.

Oy!

Auburn senior Cesar Garcia proved he is king of the platform, retaining his crown with an overwhelming victory. Garcia's 635/05 points were more than 60 points more than the next best 10-meter platform diver,,,Auburn freshman Steven Segerlin.

With the 1-2 victory, Auburn is assured they'll have a powerful presence on the boards next year.

To add icing to the cake, junior Matt Bricker finished sixth.
