Bolles Rules; Lim Sets National H.S. Record  -- November 25, 1998

At the Florida 4A meet, sophomore Janelle Atkinson of Bolles swam a 4:40.10 to take 500 free. The 200 free was won by Melissa Deary of Bolles in a time of 1:47.59, with Atkinson second at 1:48.56, and Jenna Bridges also from Bolles at 1:49.04 for third to complete the Bolles' sweep.

Trinity Prep's Andrea Georoff had a great swim, winning the 50 free in a 23.08. Also having great swims for Trinity Prep, who finished second in girls standings, Mirjana Bosevska winning the 200 IM in 2:00.97, and Christy Watkins who won the 100 fly and 100 back with times of 55.60 and 55.43, respectively.

On the men's side, Bolles junior Alex Lim set a new national record in the 100 back with his 46.97 swim, won another title in the 100 fly at 47.74, and led off Bolles national record-breaking 200 medley relay with a 22.15 split for backstroke. The winning time for the medley relay was 1:31.70. Andrew McConnell won the men's 500 for Bolles easily with a 4:29.57, and the most impressive non-Bolles performance had to be Trinity Prep's Rassan Grant winning both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke with times of 1:51.26, and 55.
