Penn State’s Silvestri Garners Big 10 Diver Of the Week Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn, February 3. PENN State Sphomore Lisa Silvestri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) picked up her third weekly honor this season as the Big Ten named her the women’s Diver-of-the-Week.

Silvestri won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events to lead the 12th-ranked Nittany Lions to a 166-76 victory over Rutgers Saturday on Senior Day at McCoy Natatorium.

Silvestri was nearly 30 points better than her nearest opponent with a score of 291.23 on the one-meter board. She finished with 283.58 on the three-meter board.
