Smith Still Swimming

Michelle Smith took part in her first swim meet since she won 3 Olympic gold medals in Atlanta.

Smith said after winning the 50m freestyle final at the Bordeaux, France meet that her goal was to compete in the 2000 Olympics in different events from those in 1996.

Smith, who returned to the Netherlands for her training, won the 50m freestyle in a modest 27.29.
