NCAA Div. III Men: Flying Dutchmen Win Second Dual Meet

WABASH, Ind., Nov. 1. THE Flying Dutchmen posted their second dual meet victory of the young season Friday topping Wabash, 136-105.

Coach John Patnott's Dutchmen won both relays and seven of 11 events, including one-two finishes in three races.

Senior diver Lee Heerspink captured first on both the one-meter and three-meter boards.

Hope's one-two finishes were: 200-yard freestyle, Chris Hamstra (1:50.57) and Matt Waterstone (1:51.78); 50-yard freestyle, David Ornee (:22.29) and Travis Barkel (:22.33); and 100-yard backstroke, Kurt Blohm (:52.23) and Brad Norden (:58.56).

Other Hope winners were Jacob Holton, 100-yard freestyle (:50.38) and Ross Geurink, 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.15).

Members of the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:36.98) were Kurt Blohm, Ross Geurink, Chris Hamstra and Jake Taber. Swimming the 200-yard freestyle relay to victory (1:29.31) were Travis Barkel, Jamion Dreyer, David Ornee and Chris Hamstra.
