NCAA Div 1: UC Irvine’s Duke Krautim Named Big West Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif, October 30. UC Irvine freshman Duke Krautim (Cerritos HS) was named Big West Male Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week after winning two events at the Triton Invitational.

Krautim competed in four events at the Triton Invitational, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and the 200 IM. His times of 1:55.28 for the IM and 1:54.61 for the butterfly were both good enough for first place. The Anteaters finished first in the invitational hosted by UC San Diego.

The Anteaters will host the Big West Shootout on Friday, Oct. 31st at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Anteater Aquatics Complex.
