GREENVILLE, S.C., June 30. THIS weekend's Dixie Zone Long Course Championships at the Greenville Westside Aquatics Center, resulted in two world records for North Carolina teams.

On Saturday, four Hendersonville swimmers set the first-ever men's 360+ age freestyle relay record. They averaged 90 years old and clocked 7:38.40. Pictured from left to right, all from Hendersonville, are: Boyd Campbell 93 (2:27.21), Martin Rutter 91 (1:18.63), Jim Scherbarth 80 (1:22.55), Harold Hoffmann 96 (2:30.01).

On Sunday, two area swimmers helped break the existing men's 280+ men's medley relay world record of 2:28.71 set by a Japanese team last Sept. The North Carolina medley relay smashed the record in 2:26.17.
