Update: De Bruin To Challenge -- June 3, 1998

LONDON - Olympic champion Michelle De Bruin will seek arbitration or go to court to fight accusations she manipulated a drug test, her lawyer said. FINA has determined that two samples showed signs of tampering. Attorney Peter Lennon said the case should be dropped because FINA did not report finding banned drugs in her backup urine sample. De Bruin, who won three gold medals at the 1996 Olympics, underwent out-of-season testing on Jan. 10, 1998.
