Stanford and USC Split Top Honors on Final Day of Bruin Diving Invite

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18. STANFORD and USC divers each won two events on the second and final day of competition at the UCLA Bruin Invitational, on the UCLA campus in Westwood, Calif.

The Cardinal's Ashlee Rosenthal was an easy winner in the women's 1-meter finals, scoring 504.50 points, 40 more than UCLA's Paige Thompson.

Stanford made it a sweep of the 1-meter springboard when Adam Peterson took the men's event with 587.95
points, 21 better than USC's Ray Vincent.

USC's Blythe Hartley took gold in the 10-meter platform to go with her 3-meter triumph yesterday. Her 440.50 points were more than 20 better than UCLA's Regan Gosnell, who led a trio of Bruins in the next three spots.

The Trojans' Ray Vincent turned the tables on Stanford's Peterson in the men's 10-meter event, scoring 516.45 points to Peterson's 503.85.
