Franzi Wins Comeback Award -- November 23, 2002

BERLIN, Germany, November 23. GERMAN golden girl, Franzi van Almsick, was presented with the German media's "Bambi Prize" for 2002 on Thursday.

The award is given each year to the German athlete who has made the most sensational comeback.

Van Almsick, 24, won five gold medals at the European Championships and broke her own eight year-old world record in the 200m freestyle.
