Kara Lynn Joyce to Sign With Georgia -- November 12, 2002

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, November 12. KARA Lynn Joyce, the national public high school record-holder in the 50 yard freestyle (22.73 seconds), will sign with the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, on Wednesday.

Joyce, a senior at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, will end her high school career November 22-23 at the Michigan State High School Championships where, reportedly, she will swim the 100 and 200 yrd freestyle events.

A month ago, SwimInfo reported that Gulliver Prep's (Florida) Christina Swindle, the national prep school record-holder in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle, will attend Auburn University. So the nation's two premier female prep sprinters will face each other for the next four years in the SEC.
