Auburn Women's Relay Sets American Record -- February 20, 1998

With a time of 1:38.56, the Auburn relay team of Katie Ryan, Brook Monroe, Mimi Bowen and Katie Taylor set American, NCAA, and U.S. Open records in the 200-yard medley relay at the Southeastern Conference Championships in Gainesville, FL, on Wednesday.

The previous American record, 1:38.68, was held by the Stanford women's relay of Lea Loveless, Lori Heisick, Summer Sanders, and Jenny Thompson. It was set at the 1992 NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas.
