Standing Tall - The Hunter Scott Story -- November 5, 2002

SwimInfo has an excerpt from a feature article in the November issue of Swimming World, entitled "Standing Tall"

The article tells the story of 14 year-old Hunter Scott of Atlanta, Georgia, who was born without a thigh bone, which made his left leg shorter than his right leg, and whose left foot was amputated when he was very young.  Hunter used a fin on his left leg in competition on his summer league team and he plans to use it in high school meets.

Hunter says the fin only supplies missing balance.  Others say it provides propulsion, giving him an unfair advantage.
