NCAA Div. III Women: Hope Opens Season With Win Over St. Mary’s

HOPE COLLEGE, Mich., nov. 2. THE Flying Dutchwomen of Hope College opened their MIAA dual meet season Saturday with a 108-92 victory over Saint Mary's.

Sophomore Elizabeth Fredericks was a double winner capturing first in the 50-yard freestyle (:25.70) and 100-yard freestyle (:55.33).

Other Hope winners included Michelle Smith, 1,000-yard freestyle (10:41.57); Erin VandenBerg, 200-yard freestyle (1:59.70); Melissa Erickson, 200-yard
individual medley (2:22.47); and Audrey Arnold, 100-yard backstroke (1:02.33).
