Top-ranked Stanford Women's Swimming Knocks Off USC -- February 8, 1998

LOS ANGELES, CA - Freshman Misty Hyman (Phoenix, AZ/Shadow Mountain HS) won three events to lead top-ranked Stanford (5-0) to a 161-139 win over No. 3 USC (7-1) at McDonald's Swim Stadium.

Hyman won the 100 butterfly (53.84), 200 butterfly (1:57.49) and 200 backstroke (1:57.66) to help the Cardinal knock off the defending national champions.
