SANTA CLARA, California, July 7. ANKLE and toe flexion are key elements in superb swimming performance, allowing the swimmer to execute a perfect streamline and kick strongly. But for many swimmers, tight muscles can hamper the ability to point the toes and have good ankle flexibility.
