Schumacher Knows Swimming and Polo...Finally! -- November 26, 1997

Brad Schumacher will finally be allowed to pursue swimming and water polo at the 1998 World Championships in Perth, Australia, the USS board of directors ruled Saturday.

The directors affirmed a November 13 ruling by the review board allowing Schumacher to miss portions of the U.S. World Championship swim team's pre-event camp and competition to play for the water polo team.

USS National Team Director Dennis Pursley, who said he does not approve of swimmers missing the camp, had filed the appeal to the directors.
