2013lcnationals Chloe Sutton

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 28. MISSION Viejo's Chloe Sutton talks about placing second in the 400 freestyle, and why second place isn't too bad, at the 2013 USA Swimming nationals.

Women's 400 freestyle recap: Nation's Capital's Katie Ledecky, already with the 800-meter freestyle victory from earlier in the week, smoked the finale of the middle-distance in a 4:04.05. That swim clipped the 16-year-old's lifetime best of 4:04.34 (and set a new National Age Group Record), the split from her epic 800-meter freestyle at the 2012 London Olympics.

Mission Viejo's Chloe Sutton raced into second with a 4:06.64 for her second spot on the World Championship roster headed to Barcelona. She's likely saving some up for Barcelona, as she threw down a 4:04.18 lifetime best just a year ago at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
