John Leonard will teach 3 ASCA courses at the 2013 Pacific Swim Coaches Clinic:

World Class Beginnings
(Thu. 1/3/13, 6:00-9:00 p.m.)
About: Focuses on research and a resulting composite of what the most productive programs (as measured by internal production of Senior swimmers) in the world do during the earliest exposures in the sport. Covers coaching techniques, structure of each year, structure of practices, and educational structure of what is taught in what order.

Level 4:
The Leadership School
(Fri. 1/4/13, 8:00 a.m. — Noon)
About: Coaches are leaders by virtue of their work; and each coach is the leader of their group. This is a “How to” manual, with practical information that can be used tomorrow, as well as a long-term look at how to set-about improving leadership skills (and defining just what those skills are).

Dryland Training
(Fri. 1/4/13, 1:00-5:00 p.m.)
About: Effective use of a dryland program for all ages, soup-to-nuts. This course covers what to do with each age group of your program and how to put together a comprehensive program that will help your athletes swim better and faster.

Cost: ASCA courses are $70 each (before 1/1/13).
Note: courses are $60 each if one is also register for the clinic, itself.

The Clinic, itself, is Saturday and Sunday (January 5 and 6). Clinic cost $115 (before 1/1/13). Speakers include: Curt Altschul, Bob Bowman, Carol Capitani, Jay Fitzgerald, Pete Motekaitis, Brent Mitchell, John Mullen, Tisha Steimle and Todd Tucker.
