Athens To Host 2004 Olympic Games -- September 5, 1997

In the year 2004, the Olympics will be going back to where it started. Athens hosted the first Olympics back in 1896. Athens' bid to host the 2004 Olympic Games was elected today by the International Olympic Committee, beating out Rome, Stockholm, Cape Town and Buenos Aires.
