Greater Toledo Aquatic Club Relay Downs U.S. National Age Group Record -- July 4, 2011

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 4. AT the Peppe-Bruce Memorial Invite held on the campus of the Ohio State University, a Greater Toledo Aquatic Club age group relay downed a U.S. National Age Group Record.

The quartet of Catherine Kight, Kelly Metzger, Katie Krefer and Brea Fields posted a time of 2:06.02 in the girls 10 & under 200-meter freestyle relay. That effort clipped the 2005 mark of 2:06.46 set by Blue Tide Aquatics' Sydney Conroy, Amanda Day, Madeline Hazle and Lauren Day.

Notably, Kreger had to fight through a 103-degree fever just two days before competing in the event.
