Eric Stanczyk Hired as Head Girls Swim Coach at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, May 10. ANN Arbor Pioneer High School has named Eric Stanczyk as the head girls swimming coach at the Michigan-based institution according to AnnArbor.com. Stanczyk is taking over the helm of the girls team, while legendary coaches Denny and Liz Hill will remain in control of the boys team.

The Hills have won 16 state championships in their time at Pioneer, including three Swimming World national high school team titles in 2003, 2004 and 2006.

"Yeah there's pressure, there's obviously pressure," Stanczyk told AnnArbor.com. "But I know the Hills pretty well and I'm excited to get started."

The article explains that the Hills have decided to step down from the girls team because the competitive season occurs in the fall, and they will now be vacationing during that time period.

Stanczyk swam at Eastern Michigan, and was coaching at Ypsilanti High School for the past three years.
