Brooks Teal Steps Down as Head Coach at NC State

RALEIGH, North Carolina, May 4. BROOKS Teal has announced his resignation as head coach for men's and women's swimming and diving after 11 years with the NC State program.

"For personal reasons, I have decided to move on and leave my position as head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving programs here at NC State," said Teal. "It has been a great experience to coach at my alma mater and I appreciate the opportunity. I have had the great pleasure to work with many outstanding young men and women."

"We appreciate all of Brooks' contributions to our program and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Director of Athletics Deborah A. Yow. "As a State alum and program mentor, Brooks will always be an important part of the Wolfpack Family."

A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately, chaired by Chris Kingston, senior associate director of athletics. Christopher "Woody" Woodard will continue in his current role as associate head coach and manage the team in the interim period.
