Industry News: TYR Sponsors Swiss Swimming Federation as Official Technical Supplier

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California, April 18. TYR Sport Inc. is pleased to announce a six-year sponsorship agreement with the Swiss Swimming Federation (SSNF). TYR will be the exclusive technical apparel supplier to the Swiss swimming, diving, open water, and synchronized swimming national team athletes through 2016. The partnership will be a welcome addition for both the SSNF and TYR, who continues to expand its presence in the European market.

With rising stars such as Swann Oberson, 2008 Open Water Olympian in the 10K, the Swiss Swimming Federation has a storied history of exceptional athletes. The Federation boasts a total of 26 European Championship Medals and 9 World Championship Medals.

"This is a very exciting time for our national team," said Barbara Moosmann, Head of the Swiss Swimming Federation. "Swiss Swimming is thrilled to establish a partnership with a premiere company in the technical suit market and it provides us with the opportunity to compete at our best."

Currently, there are 4,500 registered swimmers and 60,000 affiliated club participants in Switzerland, where swimming is the third most popular sport in the nation. The partnership between TYR and the SSNF will further develop the federation's membership and youth programs.

"Through programs with our new sponsor, we will be able to make technical swim apparel available to youth and member programs throughout the Swiss market," continued Moosmann.
