AUSTIN, Texas, March 19. AUBURN's Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace proved she's the best sprinter in the NCAA this year by sweeping the 50 and 100 freestyle events at the NCAA Division I Women's Championships.

Vanderpool-Wallace checked in with a 47.07 to win the 100 free this evening, the seventh fastest time of all time. Vanderpool-Wallace now holds four of the top 10 times in the event history with a pair of 46.81s, a 46.91 from prelims today and the 47.07 this evening.

"It feels awesome [to sweep the sprint frees]," Vanderpool-Wallace said. "I've been working hard on my sprint events, the 50 and 100, so to come up with the national championship in both is pretty great.
