COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, February 16. USA Swimming is hiring an Open Water Program Manager, who will report directly to National Team Director Frank Busch.

Job Title: Open Water Program Manager
Department: National Team
Reports to: National Team Director

The National Team Division is dedicated to the optimal performance of its athletes in international competition. It continually supports National Team coaches and athletes of USA Swimming in all aspects.

Job Summary:
Plan and coordinate all aspects of the open water program, and serve as lead manager responsible for interfacing with the Open Water Consultant to the National Team Director as well as all open water volunteers, coaches and athletes. Manage the implementation of open water programs and services. Support Open Water National Team coaches and athletes by providing information and services that will help them make decisions that are critical to safety and optimal performance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher required
• Experience in endurance aquatic sports as a coach or athlete preferred.
Duties:
• Support all National Team Division Staff.
• Develop strong working relationships with Open Water coaches and athletes through service at club visits and national and international competition.
• Provide practical services, accurate information and honest interpretation of data.
Effectively communicate insightful feedback that can be implemented by the National Team Division staff.
• Assist with other projects within National Team Division.
• Answer emails and calls from athletes, coaches, and staff in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Coordinate the planning and logistics of National Team Open Water camps and competitions.
• Deliver presentations to athletes and coaches at camps.
• Act as Staff Liaison to the USA Swimming Open Water Development Committee

Additional Requirements:
• Strong computer skills
• Experience in dealing with Web-based design & technology
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to travel and work on the road
