Ohio Northern, Olivet vs. Hillsdale

HILLSDALE, Michigan, November 12. THE home-heavy part of the schedule for the Hillsdale College women's swimming team is complete, and the team was able to make its last competition inside the Jack McAvoy Natatorium one to remember.

The Chargers, ranked 25th in the nation in Division II, won both ends of a non-league tri-meet Friday night, defeating Ohio Northern University 126-109 and Olivet College 148-35.

Four of the team's first six meets of the season have taken place at home, and in its home finale, the team put together a very impressive overall performance, from top to bottom. In the individual events alone, members of the team achieved personal-best times in 34 out of 39 possible entries.

Hillsdale also swept every event in the meet, except for the 200 yard breaststroke and diving, the latter in which Hillsdale has no competitors.

Freshman Hayley Johnson (pictured) won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.25 seconds. She also won the 200 free (2:00.34), giving her the first double-win of her young and promising career.
