Florida, Michigan vs. Stanford, Day Two

STANFORD, California, November 6. BETSY Webb won the 100 backstroke and was a part of both winning relay teams as Stanford (3-0) defeat defending national champion Florida (2-2) 227-175 and visiting Michigan (2-4) 258-143 in a two-day tri-meet. Florida also beat Michigan 286-124.

Stanford picked up another five wins on Saturday, winning 12 of 22 events overall.

Webb led off the winning 200 yard medley relay in the backstroke and then watched from the blocks as Kate Dwelley beat Florida's Jami Bohunicky by two-hundreths of a second, with a time of 1:43.80.

Webb then followed up with a win in the 100 back, going neck and neck with Lily Ramirez, before edging teammate Maya DiRado (55.47) for the win at 55.43.

Webb finished off her day by leading off the 200 free relay, as DiRado increased the lead for the Cardinal on the third leg en route to the top time of 1:32.94.

Also winning for the Cardinal was freshman Felicia Lee, who won the 100 fly with a mark of 54.99 and Andi Murez, who fought off a charging Dwelley to win the 100 free with a mark of 50.18, ahead of Dwelley's time of 50.64.

Florida won four of the 10 events on Saturday with Olympian Elizabeth Beisel winning the 400 IM (4:08.53) and the 500 free (4:46.38), giving her four wins on the weekend.

The Stanford women are next in action on November 18-20 in Long Beach at the Arena Invite.
