Fresno State vs. Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho, November 5. THE Idaho Vandals throttled the Fresno State Bulldogs 182 -118 in the first of their back-to-back home duals Friday night by winning 13 of 16 events at the UI swim center.
"The girls went out and took care of business" said coach Tom Jager after the meet.

On the diving end of the pool, Paige Hunt came in first in the 3-meter dive and second in the 1-meter dive

"She has a lot of moxie to come back and win the 3-meter dive after the second place in the 1-meter," Jager said. "Those divers came back strong for the second dive."

Idaho won the 200-yard medley relay with Shana Lim, Kelsie Saxe, Calleagh Brown and Si Jia Pang. Freshman Sammi Mischkot took first in the 1000-yard freestyle followed by sophomore Kaela Pettit in second Megan Venlos and Alyson O'Brien took first and second in the 200-yard freestyle; Calleagh Brown led the first, second, third, and fourth place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with Meghan McCloskey, Kori Ungaretti, and Savannah Bettis right behind her.

After this victory, the Idaho swim team has a lot to show for in the WAC.

"These girls are hungry and determined," Jager said.

Come out tomorrow to support the Idaho Vandal swim team as it takes on New Mexico State at the swim center. Three-meter diving starts at 9:45 a.m. and swimming at 11 a.m.
