Oakland University Joins NCAA Division I -- June 25, 1997

Oakland University (MI) will join the Mid-Continent Conference in 1998-99. The school will move from Division II to Division I. Oakland's men's swimming program has developed 87 individual national champions and seven Division II swimmers of the year. The women's swimming program has produced 50 national champions.
