BOULDER, Colorado, October 24. MORE sizzling times continued to pour in this weekend, as swimmers from schools across the nation posted impressive performances. Here are a few highlights from the past three days of dual meet action.

On Friday evening, Louisiana State and Notre Dame trekked to Alabama for a showdown with Auburn. Auburn came out on top on both the men's and women's sides, and several swimmers recorded noteworthy times in the process. LSU's Jane Trepp got things started with a B cut effort of 22.98 in the 50 free. Auburn freshman Emily Bos then swam the second fastest time in the 100 back in Division I this year, winning the event in 54.04; she later added a win in the 200 back in 1:59.35.

Adam Brown and Adam Klein had exceptional meets for the Auburn men, with each winning two individual events. Brown recorded the fastest time in the nation this season with a 44.18 in the 100 free, while also picking up a win in the 200 free (1:40.28). Klein, meanwhile, took the 100 breast in 55.25 and the 200 breast in 2:03.83. LSU's Hannes Heyl had a stellar 100 fly for the Tigers, touching in 48.27 for the win.

In their meet against Louisville, a couple of Tennessee standouts gave the rest of the SEC reason to take notice. Lindsay Gendron raced to swift times of 1:47.98 in the 200 free and 4:51.47 in the 500, while teammate Kelsey Floyd recorded a solid 1:58.80 in the 200 fly. Jennifer Connolly had outstanding swims in the 100 back (54.61) and 100 fly (54.47) for the Lady Vols.

In perhaps the most intriguing matchup of the weekend, the University of Georgia and the University of North Carolina gathered in Chapel Hill on Friday for an evening of fast swimming. The Lady Bulldogs came out on top, 168-132, while the Tar Heel men were the surprising victors on the men's side, 183-117. UNC's Joe Kinderwater and Tyler Harris kicked off the meet in dominating fashion, obliterating the field in the men's 1,000 free with times of 9:05.20 and 9:08.02, respectively. Kinderwater went on to win the 500 free in 4:28.20. Tommy Wyher also contributed two wins for the Tar Heels, touching first in the 100 back (48.30) and 100 fly (48.16), both NCAA B cuts.

For the women, Melanie Margalis of Georgia had a fantastic meet, winning the 100 breast (1:02.53) and 200 IM (1:59.14) and finishing second in the 200 breast (2:15.17), all NCAA B cuts. Fellow Bulldog Allison Schmitt moved into the top five this year in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.43, just ahead of UNC's Stephanie Peacock (1:47.80). Peacock went on to post the fastest time in the 500 this season (4:43.70), nearly three seconds faster than Florida's Elizabeth Beisel. Carly Smith (200 back, 1:57.73) and Laura Moriarty (200 breast, 2:14.39) also notched top-five times for the Tar Heels.

It was a busy weekend in Division II as well as a handful of the top schools competed. Truman State faced off against Western Illinois, winning every event at the meet. Several strong swims from the women's team propelled the Bulldogs to victory—Jessica Jenkot in the 50 free (24.65), Taylor Birsa in the 400 IM (4:40.54) and 200 breast (2:27.94) and Anna Grinter in the 200 fly (2:09.35).

St. Cloud State topped in-state, conference rival Minnesota State-Mankato in convincing fashion on Saturday, 306-178. Jasmine Lee won two events for the Huskies: the 200 IM (2:11.08) and 100 back (59.80). Her time in the 200 IM was good enough for a B cut. Ashley Ahn (100 fly, 59.48) and Matt Chida (100 fly, 52.74) had strong meets for the Mavericks.
