IRVINE, California, August 19. THE U.S. closed a dominant night of swimming with its seventh title of the evening in the men's 800 free relay at the Pan Pacific Championships.

Lochte anchored a 1:45.27.

Japan's Takeshi Matsuda, Yuki Kobori, Yoshihiro Okumura and Sho Uchida took second in 7:11.01, while Australia's Thomas Fraser-Holmes, Nicholas Ffrost, Kenrick Monk and Leith Brodie placed third in 7:11.05.

Canada (7:12.66), Brazil (7:27.74) and Korea (7:32.99) also fielded relay squads.
