SwimmingWorld.TV to Present Far Western Long Course Championships

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 20. SWIMMINGWORLD.TV and Pacific Swimming have partnered to bring the Far Western Long Course Championships to Swimming World's international community as part of a SwimmingWorld.TV live broadcast. The meet will take place from July 28 to August 1 in Concord, Calif., and is being hosted by the Terrapins Swim Club.

Far Westerns is known as one of the fastest age groups meets in the world. The meet has played host to world-class stars such as Kasey Carlson, Haley Cope, Natalie Coughlin, Laura Davis, Janet Evans, Michael Phelps and Ugur Taner. Additionally, a plethora of U.S. national age group records have fallen at Far Westerns including one last year when Justin Lynch lowered the boys 11-12 50-meter fly standard.

"This meet is important because it is the premier age group meet in the United States and certainly will showcase the next generation of Olympic hopefuls," Swimming World's CEO and Publisher Brent Rutemiller said.

Far Westerns also is one of the largest, and most internationally represented, age group meets to be found anywhere. The meet annually draws nearly 1,500 swimmers representing states all found within Pacific Swimming as well as international swimmers from Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Mexico.

SwimmingWorld.TV will provide live and on-demand coverage from the meet. Keep an eye on the Event Landing Page for more information including a link to live streaming coverage as well as on-demand videos.
