Vermont Swimming and Diving Announces Recruiting Class

BURLINGTON, Vermont, June 3. UNIVERSITY of Vermont swimming and diving head coach Gerry Cournoyer has announced that six freshmen will join the Catamounts this fall as part of the class of 2014.

The newcomers next season will include: Emily Alexander (Ottawa, Ontario), Ainsley Henderson (Towson, Md.), Marcella Melloni (Burlington, Vt.), Emily Metta (Norwood, Mass.), Taylor Slone (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Eva Wimberley (Farmingdale, N.J.).

"I am very pleased with the quality and depth that this incoming class will bring to the program next season," said Cournoyer.

The Catamounts went 10-6 overall last year to post their third double-digit win total in the last four seasons and finished fourth at the America East Championships.
