The Morning Swim Show, May 19, 2010: Cindy Tran Relives Experience of Setting National High School Record in 100 Backstroke

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 19. JUST a few days after breaking the national high school record in the 100 backstroke, Cindy Tran is still surprised by the swim, and on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, she relives the experience of setting the record.

Tran was mostly surprised by the swim because she said she's been having a lackluster season and her times in the pool didn't suggest a 51.84 in the 100 back. She talks about having Tom Shields at the meet for encouragement and how she and Coach Bob Gillett have worked together to make her underwater dolphin kicks as good as Gillett's former charge, Misty Hyman.
