USA Swimming Sectionals, Minneapolis: Distance Freestyle Center Stage -- March 10, 2010
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, March 10. THE first night of short course yard action at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Minneapolis, Minn., featured distance freestyle swimming.
Black Hawk's Bailey Pons won the women's 1000 free in 10:15.25, while Lake Country's Tracy Vogel finished second in 10:24.05. Mitchell's Andrea Budahl touched third overall in 10:25.79.
Rapid City's Brian Gorman topped the men's 1000 free in 9:29.92. Iowa City's Cameron Herting placed second in 9:34.29, while Central Iowa's Nathan Harris rounded out the top three in 9:42.57.
