SYDNEY, Australia, February 4. IN a Sydney Morning Herald article, recently-retired Libby Trickett was reported to have teased the idea of returning to the sport. With Alan Thompson out at Swimming Australia, Trickett might just be willing to come out of retirement to swim for new head coach Leigh Nugent.
"Trickett, meanwhile, says she will consider making a return to swimming under new coach Leigh Nugent, reports Stathi Paxinos," as listed in the Sydney Morning Herald. "Nugent said he was likely to call the former 100 metres freestyle and 100m butterfly world champion to ask her to return to the pool. Trickett retired in December."
Trickett joined The Morning Swim Show in December to discuss her reasons for retiring.
