Chesapeake Elite Pro Am: Bryan Lundquist Doubles, Sets Meet Record

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, December 20. THE final night of short course yard action at the Chesapeake Elite Pro Am came to a close with a meet record.

Stingray Bryan Lundquist claimed his second title of the night with a 20.96 in the men's 50 fly. That effort lowered the meet record of 21.31 set by Camilo Bercerra back in 2004. Atlanta's Sabir Muhammad finished second in 21.91, while Schroeder's Adam Mania touched third in 21.29. Lundquist opened the night in the men's 100 free with a winning time of 42.70. He came up just short of Jason Lezak's meet record time of 42.22 set in 2001. Cal's Bennett Clark finished second in 43.05, while Muhammad completed the podium with a 43.88.

Mission Viejo's Chloe Sutton concluded her breakout professional meet with another victory, this time with a 15:59.80 in the women's 1650 free. Nadador Claire Singley finished second in 16:58.44, while Hiliary Riedmann touched third in 17:03.24. Mission Viejo's Jan Daniec followed with a 15:38.84 to win the men's 1650 free. Teammate Charles Cullom placed second in 15:51.40, while Nadador Ted Singley snared third in 15:54.49.

Ohio State's Emily Creran won the women's 200 back in 2:00.43, while Dallas Mustang Claire Brandt placed second in 2:01.57. Cedar Rapids' Katharine Anton grabbed third in 2:01.83. Daytona Beach's Rex Tullius claimed the men's 200 back in 1:41.23. Minnetonka's David Plummer took second in 1:43.46, while Hawg Ellis Miller rounded out the top three in 1:48.60.

Sabine Rasch topped the women's 100 free in 50.55. OSU's Megan Detro touched second in 50.65, while Lobo Marissa Campbell finished third in 51.39.

OSU's Shannon Draves led a 1-2-3 effort for her team with a 1:59.07 in the women's 200 fly. Griet Buelens placed second in 1:59.63, while Sam Cheverton took third in 2:01.63. Robert Margalis cruised in the men's 200 fly with a top time of 1:45.03. Miller wound up second in 1:49.30, while Houston's Harry Harpham finished third in 1:51.87.

Draves went back-to-back with a 25.34 to win the women's 50 fly. Teammate Kimberly Bowman placed second in 25.99, while Houston's Angel Hoang touched third in 26.07.

Results of the 200 free relays were not made available by meet management.
