Alabama Christmas Diving Invite: Day Two

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama, December 19. THE Alabama Crimson Tide continued to shine on day two of the Christmas Diving Invitational being held at the Alabama Aquatic Center this week, with junior Adam Booher winning his second events of the meet.

"Adam did a nice job on the one-meter board," Alabama diving coach Pat Greenwell said. "But overall we had a little tougher day than we did yesterday. In spots it looked like we were trying to compete instead of just going out and competing. But I'm glad we had that kind of day here and now and not down the road. Hopefully we'll learn from it and move on."

Booher won the one-meter board, posting a score of 354.10 to just edge Tide senior Aaron Fleshner who scored a 354.00. Auburn's Kelly Marx was third with a score of 345.00.

On the women's side, four Alabama divers made finals of the three-meter board, with sophomore Carrie Dragland leading the way, taking second place with a score of 319.90. Auburn's Vennie Dantin won the event with a score of 342.90. UA senior Elizabeth Hughes was fourth with a 272.20, junior Lauren Dunn was seventh with a 254.75 while junior Olivia Covey was eighth with a 250.00.

Action concludes Saturday at 11:15 a.m. with the men's and women's platform events.
