Swimming World Names 2009 Synchronized Swimmer of the Year -- November 24, 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 24. AS part of our annual series of awards honoring the best and brightest of aquatics sports, Swimming World Magazine named Russia's Natalia Ishchenko as the 2009 Synchronized Swimmer of the Year in its December issue.

This is the second such honor for Ishchenko, who won the award in 2007 when she earned four gold medals at the World Championships. This year, Ishchenko captured another four world titles at the World Championships in Rome.
