Swimming World Digital Properties Poised to Surpass 34 Million Views in 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 19. SWIMMINGWORLD.com has logged 32.4 million views to date for 2009. With a month and a half remaining in the year, the web site is about to set a new standard over last year's record 33.7 million views.

"For a post-Olympic year to have continued growth bucks the typical trend of an off year drop in media numbers," Sports Publications International, publishers of Swimming World properties, CEO Brent Rutemiller said. "The current trend in numbers is a very good barometer for the industry and clearly indicates that swimming and the general community remains passionate about the sport."

Additionally, SwimmingWorld.TV – a sister site to SwimmingWorld.com – is growing at a rapid pace with more than 100,000 views since its launch as a separate web site in early September of this year.

"We feel that the audience for aquatic content will continue to grow at a steady pace with more and more viewers wanting video content," Rutemiller said. "SwimmingWorld.TV is in the early stages of its development. Viewers will be pleasantly surprised over the next few months, leading into early 2010, to see new media features unveiled on both our .TV and .Com properties."
