"We are pleased to start off the new year with a win especially away from home but we need to shake the rust off because we are home the next six weeks going into the league championship meet and we need to be at our best in February ," added Kornoelje.

Oakland will be back in the pool next weekend as both the men's and women's teams will host Cleveland State and Xavier on Saturday Jan. 14 in the OU Aquatics Center.
