Stanford Scores Another Five Star Recruit Commitment

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 10. IT's been a busy last few days in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, as recruits around the nation have made their college choices known via the system.

Five star Sara Giberson, who swims for AGUA and preps at Tottenville High, is headed to Stanford. Giberson has long course senior national cuts in multiple events (100m free 0:57.15; 200m free 2:00.62; 400m free 4:13.68; 800m free 8:47.66; 200m back 2:15.21; 200m IM 2:15.84; 400m IM 4:45.18.). She is one of seven five stars to commit to Stanford.

Four star Marylyn Toledo committed to Texas. Toledo, who swims for the Dallas Mustangs and preps at Parish Episcopal, has a long course senior national cut in the 100-meter fly (1:01.76). She is part of a class that includes four five stars, two four stars and a three star.

Four star Jon Daniec will call Virginia home after his senior season. Daniec, who swims for Mission Viejo and preps at Mission Viejo high, is a distance specialist with a long course senior national cut in the 1500-meter free (15:53.89). He is part of a deep class for Virginia that includes six five stars, four four stars and two three stars.

Four star Will Heidler, who has a long course senior national cut in the 200-meter IM (2:07.80) committed to Kentucky.

Three star William Hartje, who swim and preps at The Bolles School, will attend Penn in the Class of 2010, and is the first recruit to publicly commit to the school.

Three star Drew Johnson, who swims for Team Foxjet and preps at Edina High, pledged his services to Minnesota. He joins one star Ramzy Loutfy as a future Golden Gopher.

Two star Megan Venlos is headed to Idaho. Venlos swims for the St. Charles Swim Team and preps at St. Edward Catholic.

Two star Leah Davis, who swims for SwimMAC and preps at Cannon School, is on her way to Penn State. She joins a five star and two four stars in a late blooming class.
