Serbian Grand Prix: Two Serbian Relay Records Fall, Milica Ostojic Downs 400 Free Record -- November 6, 2009
BELGRADE, Serbia, November 6. THE first night of short course meter swimming at the Serbian Grand Prix featured a pair of national records fall in the 200-meter free relays. Additionally, the women's 400 free record tumbled as well.
The men's team of Boris Stojanovic, Nikola Simic, Srecko Stefanovic and Milan Silaski clocked a 1:33.56 to win the event in a record time. Meanwhile, the women's quartet of Anja Mioc, Sara Savovic, Jovana Nikolovski and Milica Ostojic won their event in 1:47.34.
Slovenia's Tjasa Oder posted a time of 4:09.63 in the women's 400 free. Meanwhile, Ostojic took second in 4:15.83 to lower her Serbian record of 4:16.72 set in November 2008. Oder would also win the women's 400 IM in 4:47.14.
Stojanovic earlier won the men's 50 free in 22.61, while Stefan Sorak took home the men's 400 free in 3:54.67. Nikola Trajkovic topped the men's 100 breast in 1:04.12. Miroslav Udicki snatched the men's 100 back in 57.21, while Trajkovic returned for another gold medal with a 4:31.41 in the men's 400 IM.
Other winners included Andjelika Petrovic in the women's 50 free (26.27), and Tanja Smid in the women's 100 breast (1:09.34). Meanwhile, Tamara Miler won the women's 100 back in 1:05.45.
