KLAKSVIK, Faroe Islands, November 3. PAL Joensen was at it once again at the Faroe Islands as he continues to put the tiny country on the swimming map. During a short course meters meet held in Klaksvik, Joensen competed in the 400 and 1500 freestyle events, while using the rest of the meet as a warm up and warm down since there is only one pool in the location.
Joensen posted a time of 14:48.40 to win the 1500 free, less than 10 seconds off his national record time of 14:39.99. He also nearly claimed his 400 free record with a time of 3:44.18. That swim came up about a second and a half shy of his top time of 3:42.57.
He also won the 100 free (51.89), 200 free (1:59.33), 100 fly (1:02.82) and 400 IM (5:13.30).
