Pair of Swimming World Five Star Recruits Make Final College Decisions

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 16. A pair of Con(n)ors made their final college decision recently by verballing to Southeastern Conference schools.

Five star Conor Sweeney, who swims for Swim Atlanta and preps at Brookwood High, decided to become a Georgia Bulldog after his high school career. Sweeney owns long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter free (1:53.00) and 400-meter free (4:00.09). He also holds an NCAA Division I B cut time in the 500-yard free (4:27.74).

Sweeney joins fellow five stars Jameson Hill and Shannon Vreeland as Georgia commits.

Five star Connor Signorin became the fourth five star commit to the University of Florida. Signorin, who swims for Peddie Aquatics and preps at Peddie School, owns several long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter free (1:50.28), 400-meter free (3:56.60), 1500-meter free (15:30.85), 200-meter IM (2:04.78) and 400-meter IM (4:23.66). He also holds NCAA Division I B cuts in the 200-yard free (1:36.87), 500-yard free (4:23.97), 1650-yard free (15:14.48) and 400-yard IM (3:52.14).

Five stars Kaitlin Frehling, Alicia Mathieu and Jon Nunez also will compete for Florida in the Class of 2010.
